   Actually you have some concepts about the structure of our body. It has its own program, whether we want it or not. You have to acknowledge that it is a creature of routine. It used to do the same movements, consume the same food and it has approximately the same weight. Its tissues consist of water, protein, fats, mineral salts and carbohydrates. Say your weight is 70 kg, then your body has got 40-45 kg of water, 16-17 kg of proteins, 7-10 kg of fats, 2,5-3 kg of mineral salts and 0,5-0,8 kg of carbohydrates. This process is called assimilation. However you should know that our organism is constantly on the way of some changes. Simultaneously a kind of distraction is happening in it. This is dissimilation. Both processes are interconnected. This is called metabolism.
   Among them the most important role belongs to protein. It takes an active part in metabolism; and helps the construction of cells and tissues in our body. It influences on your weight surely. The development of our organism depends on it. And our mind is closely connected with protein. The origin of the term “protein” is Greek (“proteo” means “paramount”). Protein is 1/13 part of our brain, and ¼ of blood and muscular.
In addition our body receives protein consuming animal and vegetable meals. They are decomposed into aminiacids. So people have to take care of consuming the right quantity of protein through the whole life, because it contains the necessary aminoacids. For example, if you drink 1 l of milk per day, you will get 1/3 of day’s norm of protein. There are much more protein in dairy products (kefir, cheese, cottage cheese, etc.).
